I don’t usually recommend Microsoft products, I hate Windows 8 and how it was tailored for tablets completely abandoning desktops but I found the new office pretty handy. For the first time in my life I have actually pay to buy office instead of torrenting a copy because for once their price was reasonable.
I took the Office 360 Home Premium bundle which included Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher and Access for a subscription fee of KD 2.99 per month which was the of a burger. You also get 20 GB of cloud storage to store your documents and my favorite feature was having the ability to install Office on up to 5 different devices, including Macs.
A problem I faced with office was compatibility. I’m normally stuck with a file that doesn’t open because I used a newer version of Office than the one currently installed on the device I’m trying to open the file in. In Office 365 they introduced Office on demand which lets you open any office file on web-based applications.
