I was browsing Benta the other day when I noticed an entire sector dedicated to popular photographers in Kuwait, including Majed Sultan. There are some pretty amazing photos, all canvases cost KD 14 if I’m not mistaken are there’s a big list to pick from. You can see the full list of photographers [here].
I’m liking the work of @Dimensions_Team, they’re a team of Kuwaiti guys that love anime except do a great job at sculpturing characters like the two above they’ve done (Akuma and Kazuya from Tekken). I’m not sure if they accept custom orders but they definitely should. You can see some of their work [here].
A 19-year-old Kuwaiti student who went to FSU (Florida State University) back in 2013 was found drowned in a river in Florida a few days ago. The article doesn’t give away much detail but it doesn’t look like a murder case. He was found by two people passing by 10 feet of water near a bridge. I’ve heard about the pressure some students get while studying abroad but I doubt it’s a suicide case either.

Mind the background of the image, I couldn’t find anything more suitable than a wallpaper from The Little Mermaid. So the character in the middle is supposed to be a shark, a midget compared to the two other sharks with him on the show, Bashar Al Shatti is a crab, and no idea what the guy on the left is.
I just had to make a collection of all the “lol what” characters for this year, last year we had a chunk of Fun Run Shows which I assume didn’ t go too well, if you find any more weird characters worth noting send them over.
I like how the reporter calls it “the largest playground”. I like trampolines but unfortunately they aren’t big in Kuwait, I only know of the small trampolines at Sharq Park. These however are a bit scary, but in the very unlikely situation the ropes rip apart, the people will sink inside the cave.
It only makes sense to have the highest twitter account per capita in the world align with the highest smartphone penetration in the Middle East, according to Mideast Times. Kuwait has a whopping 212% smartphone penetration coming first place with Saudi coming second place with 188%. This means the average person in Kuwait owns two phones.
I’ve always wanted to try Bubble Football (also known as Zorb Football) which is when you are inside a huge inflated bubble while playing football. Just found out Hadaf Playground located in front of Alsha’Ab Leisure Park now offers Bubble Football, the match must be between 8 to 10 people. Can’t wait to try it.
