Android, though I feel a bit late has launched Android Wear, an Android powered software for smart watches. My issue with digital watches is they don’t feel or look like a watch, they feel more as if I had a mini screen strapped around my hand but when I saw the looks of Android Wear I’d beg to differ.
I like the simplicity in the design, looks like a watch you’d find manufactured by a popular watch brand 100 years ago. They’re pretty smart too, they don’t offer a bulk of features, your phone should do that. Rather, they offer the features you need the most, like telling you how long will it take you to reach work, call in a taxi or warn you when something dangerous is near.
Motorola was one of the first companies to announce they’re releasing watches with Android Wear and to me they look even better, I really like the stainless steel version. Asus, Fossil, HTC, Intel, LG, Samsung and Qualcomm will also be manufacturing watches using Android Wear. Excited to see Android Wear unfolds.
