I was passing by the Avenues for lunch with a friend yesterday and noticed the Ministry of Health had a booth close to Pink Berry so we walked around, little did we know we were doing hand CPR training minutes later on a mannequin that measures the CPR pump speed. Once we finished training we were surprised to get certificates with our names on it.
I’m guessing the Ministry of Health will be there throughout this weekend, it’s worth a go, you never know, you might save a loved one’s life one day because of that 10 minute training you got.
Interesting advice they told us
There are 3 occasions when you stop CPR’ing someone:
1. The ambulance arrives (obviously)
2. Someone more qualified than you arrives
3. You are starting to harm yourself (exhaustion etc)
Bonus: If you’re in harms way, always make sure both of you are at a safe spot before you start
