  1. A Nigerian wearing Igbada is fine.
An Indian in a Sari is fine.
A Pakistani wearing Shalwar Kamees is fine.
A dish dash in any form is a no no … Go figure.

  2. And what was the Emarati ministry reaction ” dear Emarati citizens pls refrain from wearing the traditional clothes in the west .. to avoid issues” .. like WOW !!

Now we cant even proudly wear our cultural dress just to appease the radical west

  3. who would in their right mind where a dishdasha in the US where most people owns guns and are trigger happy,it was foolish from both sides

U think wearing a jeans would have been any different when he was "allegedly" pledging alliegence to ISIS over the phone in his native language? Speaking your native language and wearing native clothes doesnt mean ur pledging alliegience to anybody. Sometimes its just your mother asking u to get her some vegetables from a corner store.

Im pretty sure she made up the alliance part *because* he was wearing a dishdasha, to support her theory and push the police to take it much more seriously. If he was wearing jeans she wouldnt have gone through all this.

The paranoid level is really ridiculous to the point that some of them reject the "halal" label. Halal means permissible to consume.

They do advise on what not to wear when entering an Arab culture. There are articles posted all the time in the UAE about the topic.

That advice is a given, you should respect the rules and regulations of whatever country you are in.

The Arab world and Islam in general needs to work on improving its image amongst the outside world, so that they can proudly wear their national dress anywhere in the world without any bias.

I understand what are you talking about. But the bad Arabs are the minority if we count the numbers, in general the human race needs to focus on positives and stop accusing a whole race or a nation just because few ofm are idiots and the examples are everywhere.

I hope he is OK. If some are bad and made them the general image as bad, please before you judge investigate first. Remember all your fingers are not in same length. I know a lot of them are having good heart.

Asif Sibhai you care plenty and I dont think you need to comment on a suggestion if you dont need it. Ismail Al-Ali it is hard to focus on positives when this world keeps spewing negatives. In my comment please dont mistake this as me agreeing with this womens actions she is wrong and he was a victim of stereotyping.
