The internet is seemingly advancing rapidly. While we enjoy our 256KB-8Mb download speeds, South Korea wants to offer 1000Mb within every household in the country. That is like downloading an entire divx movie in 6 seconds. So basically by the time you click download and unwrap your sandwitch, the movie has been downloaded.
I’m not sure why we’re so far behind in internet speeds compared to modern countries. Nor could I make sense of the expensive prices we have to endure. Japan for example pays approximately $0.27 for a 1Mb monthly subscription. So if a cheese burger costs 300 fils(~1$), that’s worth a 4Mb monthly subscription. I just hope we advance quicker.[Source]
