Getting to Know Katsuya by Starck
Overall the food at Katsuya was great, the staff were very friendly. I liked how they had 4 different kitchens, each one serving a specific portion from the menu, that’s including a kitchen just for juices..
Review: Villa Babak
The difference between Villa Babak and Babak is the menu, this one has more items and in my opinion it’s like the prestige version of Babak. At first..
Review: Eight (Restaurant)
I’ve been wanting to review Eight for a while and finally managed to pass by the place, located next to Al Raya Complex. The place has a lot of gold-plated stuff, along with..
Review: Mustard Burger
I’ve heard about @mustardkw a few times before being invited to review the place. They started out as a delivery service and became popular.
An Indian restaurant located at Center Point Salmiya, not the best place to open up a restaurant but the food makes the place worth passing.
Review: Versus Caffè by Versace [Breakfast]
The place had a red/white theme, mostly red which should get you all hyped up when inside. Yesterday was the first day for the new breakfast menu which I got to try.
Review: Lita (After Reopening)
Litas, a Mexican restaurant recently opened again after it was closed for a year while there was heavy reconstruction going on where it was located.
Review: The Breakfast Club
I passed by BreakfastClubKW’s new branch in Kuwait City a few weeks back to review the place now that they also serve dinner and lunch.
I recently passed by Oishii the other day to review their newly opened restaurant at Kuwait City. What I like about Oishii is the fact that it was a 100% Kuwaiti concept.
I’ve heard a lot about @ubonkw before trying it and I’m glad I did. I was invited to try their food and I have to say they have a lot of unique combinations when it comes to appetizers and main courses that I haven’t seen before.
Review: Choowy Goowy Restaurant
For those who didn’t hear about it, Choowy Goowy expanded to offering a variety of dishes and I really liked most of them.
@trianglekw At first I thought it was a franchise but when I sat with the owner he explained how they spent so much time thinking of how to open a restaurant that’s different.
Review: Smoke House Southern BBQ
Went all the way to Mahboula the other day to try @smokehousekw. They have something I’ve wanting to try for a long time, the camel burger
@angelato_kwt Passed by a new cafe located in Burj Jassem with a new concept. Instead of being just another cupcake store this place specilizes in gelato ice cream.
Review: ZeeBrgr (New Dishes)
To celebrate ZeeBrgr’s one year anniversary they have introduced some new dishes which I was invited to try out.
Review: Sunny Side Up (Dinner Menu)
Sunny Side Up are popular for their breakfast dishes. They recently opened with a new menu for lunch and dinner, to my surprise they even serve risotto’s now, pretty good ones too.
I passed by Figs yesterday during their pre soft-opening (they’re planning to open to public at the end of November.
Review: Rangoli (Wednesday Buffet)
Every Wednesday Rangoli have a buffet with dishes from China, India, South East Asia and the Middle East with live cooking stations.
Review: Sushi Club
Its been a while since I reviewed a Japanese place but I’m glad I did. The place has both tables and closed rooms for families which is something rarely offered in Kuwait.
Review: China Garden
Before I start talking about the restaurant itself I’d first like to talk about how eco-friendly they are. They reduced using plastic by 80%, reduced using alliumun by 95% and stopped using foil altogether.
Review: Beit Dickson – Kuwaiti Cuisine
I’ve always wanted to try a Kuwaiti Cuisine in order for me to compare it to home made food. We were impressed by the traditional interior of the place but surprised to find out the menu offers Lebanese and Indian food along with the Kuwaiti food.
I liked how they gave a Persian atmosphere through the design and layout of the place. I got to try out their shrimp, something I didn’t know Persian restaurants offer.
I passed by ZeeBrgr the other day located in Palms Beach to try it out. The place had its own unique kind of dark but colourful atmosphere. Since ZeeBrgr is also owned by the guy behind..
Review: Upper Crust Pizza
@UPPERCRUSTKWT has got to be my new favourite pizza place. Not only because their pizza was great but because the atmosphere and the simplistic look of the interior design.
Review: Container 75
I got to try @Container75 yesterday and I’m glad the place wasn’t just about the looks. For those who haven’t read my previous post about the place, it was built by literally putting two containers on top of each other
Review: Burger Hub[Renovated]
After @TheBurgerHub was done with some renovations we were invited to give it a try. The huge signs were an idea to give the place an airport look. I liked the concept and was glad to find out there was no smoking indoors.
The place is cosy and moderate in size. Their food was one of the best Lebanese places I have tried in Kuwait. Most of what I liked was exclusive dishes they made up themselves.
Review: The Dragon Japanese Cuisine
I must say, this is different from any Japanese restaurant I’ve tried in Kuwait. They sort of have their own touch to things. The music is Kuwaiti for example when I was expecting Japanese. Had a great time all in all.
Review: Early Bird
I wish I visited earlier because their breakfast was refreshing, very heavy but refreshing. We started out with whipped Side Pancakes. These pancakes are huge and one of them was stuffed with chocolate which I recommend.
I passed by @MunchKuwait to munch some lunch yesterday and was impressed by the atmosphere, really cosy feel to the place. I liked how the kitchen is right in front of you. Everything is cooked next to the counter.
I have no idea why the restaurant is called 10oh8 though I’ve been meaning to ask but forgot. My experience was a mixture of good and bad. The food was good, the time it took to serve the food was very quick. But I had to struggle to explain to staff what I wanted or to ask for a recommended dish.
Had a great experience at @HotelMissoniKuw reviewing their soon to open Luna restaurant. The staff were a breath of fresh air and the food was just right.
Review: Organica Pasta & Pizza
Since I really enjoyed Organica Fish & Chips I decided to try their new restaurant that specializes in Italian pasta and pizza. The stores are beside one another so the map will be same one I used on Organica Fish & Chips.
Review: Organica Fish & Chips
After complaining about the lack of decent fish & chips places in Kuwait some readers recommended I try this place out. The atmosphere is cosy and the staff are polite. They offer Australian based fish and chips but with a Kuwaiti touch.
I have previously tried Quiznos in London and was hoping the bread tasted the same because Quiznos is all about the bread. They have a unique toaster where bread is extracted to be just the way you like it. I would say there closest competitor is Subway.
Review: Cocoa Room
Pancakes are great, pancakes infused with chocolate however are lovely. Cocoa Room is a great place if you want to have some breakfast. The staff are amazingly cheerful and polite.
Yet Another Solo Pizza Napulitana Review
When you hear there’s pizza in Kuwait cooked the way pizza was originally cooked in Italy you can’t help but go have a bite. From what I heard about this place I was expecting my soul to depart my body with joy the moment I had a taste. Well that didn’t happen, the pizza was great but it wasn’t superb.
Having not eaten Lebanese food for a while, this was a much needed visit. I missed kebab with hommos and boy did we pick the right place to have some. It was around a 40 minute ride to reach Solidere since it was located in Abu Hlaifa but was well worth it. The menu was […]
I’m the type of person that goes to a pizza restaurant and orders spaghetti. I couldn’t be any happier doing that in pizzetta as their spaghetti was nothing short of delicious. It might surprise you how many restaurants have a speciality in something yet are really good at everything else.
Review: Elevation Burger
They strive themselves on being healthy with their burgers. Hence why ingredients matters is printed in thick against their restaurant. I passed by to review Elevation Burger yesterday. There location is a bit sneaky, it’s in Avenues Phase 2 on the first floor.
I normally don’t review restaurants when I order from 6alabat or if it’s a home delivery in general, but I was impressed. I think this restaurant is new since I haven’t heard of it before. The packaging was convenient and creative, didn’t want throw it away.
Review: Gloria Jean’s Coffee
I liked the indoor atmosphere and was impressed by their pricing. Their cheaper than my favourite coffee shop Caribou in almost everything.
The famous macarons come frozen from France to Kuwait so the quality is just as good. Other desserts like cakes are made in Kuwait. We tried their signature Ispahan and a Carre Chocolate along with a handful of macarons.
I really liked how the tables were set up. Most tables come with their own chef that cooks your food right in front of you. It wasn’t great but it was good. We had a variety so we tried out pretty much everything.
Review: GAC Motor GS5
I posted previously about Mutawa Al Kazi acquiring a car brand that’s new to Kuwait, GAC Motor. They’ve now launched two car models, a salon and an SUV and asked if I was interested in reviewing one so I picked the SUV. GAC Motor is a Chinese automobile maker that also manufactures cars in China for other […]

Review: Nokia 808 PureView – The 41MP Camera

Review: BlackBerry Bold 9900
I’ve been trying out the Bold 9900 for around two weeks now and I must say BlackBerry have gone a very long way. To begin with the BlackBerry OS 7 boots much faster. The web browser loads really fast and I haven’t faced any issues with pinch to zoom, that was smooth too. But I did notice BlackBerry compresses all images to load faster.
Review: Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
I must say the video quality is way better than the iPad and ASUS Transformer even though it is a 3MP rather than 5MP camera. This just proves camera’s are about quality.

It was fun meddling with Honeycomb as I’ve never played with one before. The review will also compare the Xoom to the iPad since it’s currently the only comparable tablet. Now lets get geeky.
Review: Canon T3i/600D
So far I am very pleased with it’s performance. I love the fact that it has a new option called “feature guide”, which gives you a brief description of what every setting on the camera does.
Review: Cyborg R.A.T. 7
This review is mainly for the hardcore PC gamers out there. The mouse has 5600DPI(dots per inch) range, this is currently the highest DPI on the market. Unless you have a 50 inch screen operating at no less than full HD, you will not need more than 5600DPI. You get custom weights which you can remove to lighten up the mouse and vice versa depending on what your comfortable with.
Review: Philips Wake Up Light
This has bought a smile to my face every single morning. It took a while to review because I could only test the wake up light once everyday which was when I woke up. This is indeed the closest thing to magical. I never have to hear my annoying mobile ringing tone screaming his throat out to wake me up. I can finally wake up with the power of light. The wake up light can also wake you up with added sound. So I picked waking me up with FM 92.5. But after listening to that smooth music, it only inspired me to sleep forever. I have no idea how some people manage to actually wake up with that music station.
