After Gulfnet implemented the speed cap on their DSL service. I figured I would give it a try, maybe it wasn’t as bad as I pictured it to be. Turns out one week is more than enough torment for me. At around 10p.m almost everyday, the speed caps gets activated leaving me with a speed similar to what I had 8 years ago, dial up.
What really got on my nerves was when I call they would tell me in order for me to get your speed back, the one I pad for, I have to pay for a booster. So their asking me to pay money to get what I originally paid for. I will no longer encourage anyone to subscribe to such a DSL provider. If your a light user downloading less than 2GB a day on average, then you might be fine with a 2MB subscription.
Since Gulfnet customer service told me most companies will be doing the same thing soon. I had to be cautioned, so I subscribed to KEMS for a good 3 months to try it out.
