While I was at Gitex last week this video got revealed by Abu Dhabi Police GHQ. It’s a bit too long but you can forward the first 2 minutes to skip right to the action. What’s more interesting is the number plate and face recognition system they have installed on their vehicles. The cinema-like video already has 2 million views, so I guess to them producing the video was totally worth it.
To capture the beautiful scenery of the desert of Liwa in Abu Dhabi for Google streetview they decided to do it in the most authentic way possible, use camels. I guess they didn’t want to ruin the flow of the desert with tire tracks and I completely agree with their approach. To see the results of Liwa Google Streetview click [here].
A few weeks ago I posted on instagram on how because obesity in Kuwait is so high everything is getting fatter. Well, I think cars should get fatter too. This is actually a Porsche in Abu Dhabi’s art exhibition named “Fat Car” by Erwin Wurm. It’s looks more like a Porsche with a botox job that went terribly wrong.

Posta Plus, an alternative to Aramex ShopNShip and DHL Boderlinx opened a mailbox service in UAE (more about them here). I once ordered a memory card using their freight forwarding service and it cost me KD 3.500 which was less than what Aramex would charge at minimum cost. Aramex on the other hand just opened a mailbox service in Istanbul, Turkey. I guess a lot of women can finally order original DVD’s of their favourite never-ending turkish shows?
First 30 seconds are amazing. You can almost feel your sitting next to them. After that you start thinking about food if your hungry. Although watching Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso ride something that is faster than their own cars is comical. This monster goes 0-150mph in just 4.9 seconds. It’s so fast at around 0:23 Alonso’s wallet flies off without a parachute. If you want to try it yourself it’s not that far away, Abu Dhabi Ferrari World.
