One of my favourite burger joints, which I’ve listed on my top 3 burger places in Kuwait is finally expanding, they’re now opening in Salmiya, Gulf Street in a new mall beside Symphony. They haven’t announced it on their channels, I was hoping to find out their opening date, maybe February next year?
Here are the top three burger places I like going to when I crave a burger.
1. Burger Boutique
The photo above was taken from their instagram, I love going their and ordering a Manhattan burger, which is my favorite. If I was really hungry I would add a commando fries to my order, which is kind of a meal by itself due to how heavy it is. The Manhattan burger is also available at OFK (Open Flame Kitchen) 360 Mall since the restaurants are owned by the same person.
2. Classic Burger
What I love about this place is how they focus on the little things, each burger is served with a coleslaw or green salad and french fries. The burgers they serve are above average in size and will definitely fill you up. Most of the time I go for the Classic Burger, they’re a great place for on-the-go burgers that taste good.
3. Nomad Kitchen
I go crazy when I find out a place serves burgers with crispy nachos, unfortunately Nomad Kitchen is a food truck so they’re not located somewhere specific, you can follow their instagram to keep up with where they are. The burger I tried is called The 1973 Burger and was one of the best I’ve ever had.
I’ve heard about Humbah several times before and have always wanted to try it. It is the first portable burger place in Kuwait, basically a truck that moves to different locations selling burgers. I got to try it today while at the GiveKuwait Exhibition, they’re currently located near the entrance (a picture of their truck in the gallery below). I like how they socialized their meals with things like “Tweet Sauce” and “Tweet Tweet” Chicken.
The burger was pretty good, I liked how the onion and tomato tasted fresh. I had their Humbah Burger but there’s a good variety to pick from. A friend tried Miteena which includes fried mushrooms, was pretty greasy but recommended. Their fries was different, instead of ketchup they had the “Tweet Sauce”. The meal cost 3KD, not sure if they have sizes.
