While I was at Gitex last week this video got revealed by Abu Dhabi Police GHQ. It’s a bit too long but you can forward the first 2 minutes to skip right to the action. What’s more interesting is the number plate and face recognition system they have installed on their vehicles. The cinema-like video already has 2 million views, so I guess to them producing the video was totally worth it.
I can confirm this since some of my friends went to the cinema this weekend and this is what they saw. Instead of cutting the scene altogether they now draw over skin showing in a scene. Anyone that does video editing knows how exhausting this is, since they have to do this frame per frame. Well, at least you now don’t get important scenes cut off suddenly leaving you confused.
I watched the movie Non-Stop at Al Hamra Mall few days ago and wasn’t too impressed by it, it’s basically the main actor of the movie Taken doing the same thing except he’s on a plane this time. What I did like however was the fact that there was a terrorist in the plane and it wasn’t the bearded Muslim, on the contrary the Muslim was a quiet doctor who did help out. It’s a big step in destroying the stereotype.

This to me was really surprising news. I never knew popcorn contained so much calories. In 2009 a study at the Center for Science in the Public Interest found out that one large popcorn contains 1,490 calories. That is less than 3 big macs put together but very close (1,600 calories). I think theatre’s should be forced to label the food they sell.[Source]
