I was invited a few days ago and having graduated just yesterday I decided to pass by. Cocoa Room is a great place if you want to have some breakfast. The staff are amazingly cheerful and polite. I would recommend Kiran as the waiter. Cocoa Room will
later on open up for lunch but currently only offers breakfast from 8a.m to 12:30p.m. They now offer lunch.
The beverages came in all shapes apparently. Their glasses for some of their drinks like the Mexican Hot Chocolate shown on the button are truly unique. The other two drinks are freshly made Orange Juice and a regular Cafe Latte which tasted just the way I wanted it to be.
We started off with the Artisanal Bread Basket. The basked had all kinds of bread from fancy soft rolls to black olive bread. Came with French butter, honey and seasonal jam. What I liked most about the bread is for once it was baked at the correct temperature giving a great first impression about the place.
I came to understand almost everything on their menu has a unique touch added making the dish exclusive. The BBQ Brisket Hash had some skillet fried chored potatoes that gave the eggs a different taste. It also had shreds of beef for those looking for a heavy dish for breakfast.
The Eggs Benedict also came with shredded beef and at the button it had an English muffin. I must admit I wasn’t a big fan of this dish but that’s just my taste. I’m not a fan of poached eggs but it was recommend I give it a try. The mesclun salad that comes with the Egg Benedict was great though.
The Falafel Fatayer were good even though at the time I was almost full. If your not an egg lover, for breakfast you can always order some fatayer instead. What I didn’t see coming was the amount of dessert arriving, I don’t think I’ll be having dinner today.
I couldn’t just stare and watch the PBJ disappear. Served with malt ice cream the home-made brioche comes soaked with custard that’s filled with peanut butter. In my opinion this is the heaviest dessert of them all so you better have some space left if you plan on ordering this.
The Chocolate Brioche Tower. I recommend this dessert if you like banana with sweets as it comes with melted white chocolate and freshly sliced bananas. It was called brioche tower for a very good reason.
This was my very favourite. A Brownie Pancake. They are delicious and I couldn’t stop having more. Served with fudge sauce and shaved chocolate. I might actually visit again later for the sole reason or ordering this dessert once more. Pancakes are great, pancakes infused with chocolate however are lovely.
The atmosphere was cosy, tables were seemingly close to one another. The parrot will squeak until they put on some classic violin soft music then he’ll fall asleep. I loved the taste of music that involed no singing, just classic piano or violin unlike other restaurants that had really noisy teenage music playing on background.
