You must see the video before reading the text, because this is kind of a spoiler. I’ve always been a fan of illusions and this guy has managed to have a ton all in one spot. I kind of felt there was something fishy because some objects were out of focus, not sure if that was deliberate. One can read about my favorite illusion so far [here] .

When we go to the supermarket, we get to pick from a huge variety of products. What we didn’t know however is how limited our choice actually is. Pepsico for example owns KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Pepsi, 7UP, Tropicana, Lays, Doritos, Cheetos & Ruffles to name a few. Many products that compete are owned by the same corporation. This photo taken from another angle within the canvas of the other camera is interesting for many reasons. The first thing you notice is it was shot in a way that puzzles the brain but soon figure out it does make sense. What’s mind boggling about it isn’t how the photo was taken, but the fact that all seven eight people inside the photo are the same person.

For as long as I can remember, I have had the fear of the elevator one day getting it’s wires ripped and falling all the way to ground floor. I never feared the floor would fall off though, but not any more. If you still haven’t noticed this photo is an illusion. The floor is there, it’s just painted to look like it’s not. Doing this on a floor-less elevator is asking for death.

This image is pretty similar to the one I wrote about in the Visual Perception post. Except this time the entire image disappears. Keep staring at the middle and you will start to notice change. Will take 30-45 seconds for it to disappear. The same effect is used on both images (Troxler’s Fading). I’m just glad if I stare at my car long enough it’ill still be there.

This just gave me a mind freeze. If you focus your eyes on the red dot, within seconds the blue circle will gradually fade away until it’s gone. It’s called Troxler’s Fading. “The same neurons are responding to the stimulus over a prolonged period of time because it is not moving on your retina, and is therefore represented on the same part of cortex.”

I was mind boggled by this illusion. At first I thought this was one of those illusions where a guy draws on the floor using chalk and it would look almost real when shot from a specific angle. Turns out this is all real grass just that also if shot from a specific angle everything will look the way it is. Wonder a bit then click on the spoiler to find out how.

Thanks to 3D mapping, 2 projectors and some really creative people, now you can have a different living room every day. They basically made a 360 projected room, then mapped all the objects in that room. This way they can customize colours, patterns and textures. The result was amazing, everything was originally white as seen in the beginning of the video.
