I read about some pretty sad stories Bibi Al Ayoub has been tracking about babies that have been abandoned by their parents in hospitals. From what I understood in Kuwait in these situations by law no one is allowed to adapt the children as a family or as a shelter. So they end up living for years inside a hospital losing their childhood. Some of them get sent back to whatever country their parents were from if that information is available.
Every baby has a sad story, the one on the right had an Indonesian mother. She arrived at the hospital with bruises and was beaten up. She was at her 7 month of pregnancy but had to give birth. She gave birth to a baby boy and the staff named him Mohammed.
The mother died 10 days after that. The father was an Indian man that worked with the Indonesian woman. He was jailed for 6 months and then left the country. The baby stayed at the hospital for more than three years then was sent to a shelter in Indonesia where his mother was from.
I wish their was a designated shelter for abandoned kids, at least that way they don’t lose their childhood when it wasn’t their fault. Hospitals are one of the most depressing places to me, I can’t imagine being their for a month let a alone years.
