Two years ago I posted about Co-Ops in Kuwait stopping Kinder Surprise and switching to Kinder Joy. The reasons weren’t clear but Kinder Surprise does pose public healthy risks since a kid may unknowingly choke on the object. I was surprised to find it in Qurtoba C0-Op for a hefty 295 fils. The stock they’re bringing is from Belgium, so it won’t be lasting long.

One of my favourite childhood chocolate snacks would definitely be the kinder surprise. I still grab one every now and then but the last time I did so, it looked different. Luckily, there was a guy putting the kinder boxes so I asked him where the old ones went. He said they won’t be sold anymore. Nothing was wrong with the old one.

The new kinder surprise is nothing like the old one. It opens up into two halves. One has white chocolate cream and two chocolate balls which tasted okay while the other one had the standard toy. They should have at least still offered the old one for a while. Guess I’ll try finding it in mini-groceries(bakalas).
