This is supposedly the biggest burger being served in Kuwait by Kusina Grill & Restaurant weighing 3.4 kilos in total. Someone sent it to me saying he’s on the search for the biggest burger in Kuwait, but I think it’s just someone from Kusina Grill trying to promote it. If anyone has spotted a bigger burger in Kuwait please email it to me. I personally wouldn’t even consider eating it, way too huge.
Here are the top three burger places I like going to when I crave a burger.
1. Burger Boutique
The photo above was taken from their instagram, I love going their and ordering a Manhattan burger, which is my favorite. If I was really hungry I would add a commando fries to my order, which is kind of a meal by itself due to how heavy it is. The Manhattan burger is also available at OFK (Open Flame Kitchen) 360 Mall since the restaurants are owned by the same person.
2. Classic Burger
What I love about this place is how they focus on the little things, each burger is served with a coleslaw or green salad and french fries. The burgers they serve are above average in size and will definitely fill you up. Most of the time I go for the Classic Burger, they’re a great place for on-the-go burgers that taste good.
3. Nomad Kitchen
I go crazy when I find out a place serves burgers with crispy nachos, unfortunately Nomad Kitchen is a food truck so they’re not located somewhere specific, you can follow their instagram to keep up with where they are. The burger I tried is called The 1973 Burger and was one of the best I’ve ever had.
Ridley’s Burger is not a franchise although it sounds like one, it was founded by the same owner of Triangle Restaurant. I went with friends the other day and liked the burger a lot, so I went back a few weeks later and bought my camera to take photos of the food.
What I love about the place is they only have a simple 1 page menu with 3 burgers. It’s like going to a steak place where you just pick how well-cooked you want your steak to be. They do have one chicken burger if you’re not a meat person. The salad above is the Regent Salad, comes with rocket leaves, feta cheese and pine nuts with a ribbon of pumpkin.
Both times visiting the place I had their signature Ridley’s Burger, because I liked it a lot the first time I didn’t want to risk trying something else the second time around. It’s a simple combination of the patty with lettuce, onions, homemade ketchup and a huge pickle in soft toasted potato.
They also have a unique combination of fries including Homemade Fries (shown above) and Pumpkin Fries. My recommendations are their Home Fries and Onion Rings that comes with a ranch sauce that has a unique mix where the sauce kind of tastes like yoghurt.
To finish it off we went with ‘The Gamble‘, that is literally is what the dessert is called. It’s a chocolate fudge topped with Nutella hazelnut spread and vanilla ice-cream. It was an okay dessert, definitely not for one person. Ridley’s Burger is located at Salhiya Mall on M2 floor.
