One of my favourite burger joints, which I’ve listed on my top 3 burger places in Kuwait is finally expanding, they’re now opening in Salmiya, Gulf Street in a new mall beside Symphony. They haven’t announced it on their channels, I was hoping to find out their opening date, maybe February next year?
After more than a year delay (Radisson Blu was scheduled to open its doors on the first half of 2012 initially) the hotel is finally opening this month. The rendered images look amazing but I’d have to go see it myself to judge whether images reflect the actual place. Radisson Blu has 191 rooms, which include 30 suites.
On an interesting fact, Radisson Blu Hotel was the first SAS hotel to open outside of Scandinavia when it was launched in the early 1980s. I’m not sure yet if all restaurants including the much-anticipated Peacock will be opening their doors this month as well but I’ll try to find out.
Passed by Hamra Mall yesterday and noticed Wok N go opened up, it was there first day. This is the first time I try them and the food was pretty good. I ordered chicken with rice and vegetables, there was little chicken but that was fine. They will be starting delivery by next week. Waiting for more places to open at Hamra.
At least not anytime soon. Rumor has been spreading that they will be opening soon so I emailed them and unfortunately was informed “At this time, 7-Eleven has no plans to enter Kuwait.” I’m pretty sure if Al-Shaya nails them with an offer they won’t be able to resist. Either way, we’ll have to make do with the 7-Eleven Kuwaiti version for the time being.
One of the very famous opening sequences out there would be that of Dexter’s show. I can’t remember how many times I didn’t skip the intro cause it was so good. Admittedly the egg scene makes me hungry everytime. This is a remake of the intro using “العود” as the main instrument. I am impressed, looked very professional. There’s also a Mario Arabian version.
