In case you want to celebrate home away from home, Radisson Blu in Dubai is having a “Kuwaiti National Day Package” offer but unfortunately there’s nothing Kuwaiti about it. I was hoping they’d have a taxi pick you up from the airport with national music playing, then have a red carpet to your apartment and the entire apartment would be a combination of Kuwait’s flag colors. Well, not really, I was being sarcastic.[Source]
After more than a year delay (Radisson Blu was scheduled to open its doors on the first half of 2012 initially) the hotel is finally opening this month. The rendered images look amazing but I’d have to go see it myself to judge whether images reflect the actual place. Radisson Blu has 191 rooms, which include 30 suites.
On an interesting fact, Radisson Blu Hotel was the first SAS hotel to open outside of Scandinavia when it was launched in the early 1980s. I’m not sure yet if all restaurants including the much-anticipated Peacock will be opening their doors this month as well but I’ll try to find out.
