I’m not going to go into too much details about the specs because most people already know them and they’re not that fancy, phones released 6 months ago had similar specs (for full specs of the phone click here). What I’m going to focus on is the additional features that come with the phone.
I’m both surprised and happy they released a 5.1 inch screen. I was expecting at least a 5.5 inch screen, I mentioned on a previous post that the maximum screen size I feel comfortable holding in my hand was 5.2 inch screen or less, so the Samsung unlike most new phones is a potential buyer for me, even though I don’t like Samsung.
I am disappointed that the battery is only 2,550 mAh, compared to my current phone the LG G3 it’s 450 mAh of battery juice less. On the positive side I did read they removed a lot of their TouchWiz software to have smoother performance and more battery life which I’m happy about.
It does come with wireless charging and Samsung claims charging the phone for 10 minutes will give you upto 4 hours of battery life. This is similar to Google’s Nexus 6 turbo charging but even better. A quick charge would give you 4 – 6 hours of battery life and I’ll be really happy if that did turn out to be true.
Samsung released two models, this one has an edge and I’m not sure how much value will it bring me as a user. It has an edge, so what? According to Samsung, “Galaxy S6 edge gives you a new way to quickly check and respond to calls, messages and emails.” I’m still not sure how that works but looking forward to it.
Do you guys like it?
