After years of research and a budget exceeding $384,000 researchers in the Netherlands have introduced the first lab grown burger (shown above). It’s grown from cow stem cells, looks like a grayish matter which there is no way on earth I’m trying. The patty however is then dyed to make it look like a regular meet.
Researchers have claimed it’s very hard to tell the difference in taste of the normal burger and lab grown one. I get the feeling fast food chains like Burger King and McDonald’s will be the first to adopt to lab grown beef to cut on costs. Five years from now I expect half the food we consume is lab grown.
