I’ve heard of lettuce wrapped burgers before but this is the first time I see subs with cucumbers instead of bread. This is great for having a low carb meal, maybe something you’d have after a workout. You just peel the cucumber from the inside a bit and fill it up with whatever you want but no idea where to buy cucumbers this size.[Source]
Looks like Qurtoba Valley is finally getting some recognition and food chains are opening one after another. Three months ago Subway opened up and now we have Quiznos. To read my review click here. I passed by yesterday and had their Mesquite Chicken which had cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion and ranch sauce. Quiznos is located beside the supermarket.
This photo from National Geographic is nothing short of extraordinary. At first sight you see a bunch of camels walking through the dessert. Those are actually the shadows of the camels, the camels are the thin lines below the shadows. The shot was taken at the right angle when the sun was at the right corner to give this effect.[Source]
I passed by Quiznos yesterday to try it out. I have previously tried Quiznos in London and was hoping the bread tasted the same because Quiznos is all about the bread. They have a unique toaster where bread is extracted to be just the way you like it. I would say there closest competitor is Subway. It was also nice seeing BananaQ8 there.
We started out with some soup, something I had no idea they offered. I had some Brocoli Soup while my friend had Chili Soup. My soup was good, but my friend highly recommended the chili soup. The soups take a few minutes to serve because they just need to mixed with hot water so you won’t wait long.
Fortunately they had a chicken sandwich with ranch sauce, my favourite sauce. The sandwich tased great and just as expected the bread was just right. Although it was really messy so if your going to order the chicken ranch sandwich I do recommend you tell the guy to cut down on the lettuce.
Bare in mind their sandwiches are as big as the picture shows them to be. In my perspective they are bigger than your average subway full sandwich. I haven’t tasted the turkey sandwich, but my friend also recommends this too. Even though his not a big turkey fan so I’m assuming it’s really good.
I couldn’t leave without trying out the cookies of course. They had a cinnamon cookie shown on the left, something I have never tasted before and it was quite good. As for the chocolate chip, it is was better than the ones at Subway for two reasons. They are bigger in size but cost more(450fils) and they come melted right from the toaster.
