Sony started manufacturing waterproof phones way before everyone else and invested heavily in it, which I see as a nice feature but definitely not a game-changer. They have recently announced “Xperia Aquatech” will be open this December. A store built 4 meters below surface where trained divers will escort customers to the underwater shop. It sounds like too much of a hassle to just reach a store that sells phones but I guess the experience is worth it.
In collaboration with Wataniya Telecom and Biodiversity East I was taken on a trip to some of Kuwait’s islands. What I saw was an environment underwater that was so lively and beautiful you’d think only a trip to the Maldives would give you that experience. Sadly, the beauty of coral reefs will die if we don’t start preserving the environment and raise awareness on the issues that damage the coral reef.
The director behind Titanic and Avatar has just become the deepest solo diver in history. He dived 7 miles down the Mariana Trench which is the deepest spot in the ocean. I’m impressed a director with millions would risk his life to explore undiscovered territory. The director will likely share the footage he took underwater in his upcoming film.[Source]
The first time I looked at this photo I had no idea he was underwater. I found it at national geographic, not sure if it was for a competition. The sea has never looked so sky-ful. Not sure if he was purposely surfing underwater but he looks like he knows what his doing. This makes me want to grab that professional Cannon manual focus camera and pretend I’m that awesome next door photographer.
