The Panamera e-Hybrid S was the second Porsche I’ve reviewed, last year I took the Cayman S for a ride, to read more about it click [here]. This Porsche was more intriguing because it’s a hybrid and I haven’t tried a hybrid before. When I turned the car on for the first time it was completely silent.
As it turns out, the car enables electric driving when turned on, which is really quiet. It’s like driving the car with the engine off, that’s how quiet it is. The idea of the hybrid is to run on electricity while you are driving slow or at a halt in a traffic light for example, but switches to running on fuel when you start speeding.
That way you save on fuel while at the same time reducing CO2 emission (you’re looking after the environment). This Panamera shouldn’t be taken lightly, it will jump from 0 – 100km in 5.5 seconds with a 3-liter V6 Engine pumping out 416 Horsepower making it one of the fastest hybrid cars in the world. You basically have a hybrid that gives you the performance of a sports car.
