Hasselblad just announced their newest SLR camera. That looks very much like a video camera. This is what you pull out the next time a friend shows off his 12 megapixel cell phone camera. The H4D-200MS camera costs $45,000(~12,400KD), not something you would buy as a hobbyist. The idea behind the camera is taking different 50MP shots then attaching them together.[Source]
The H4D-200MS camera uses a 50Mpix sensor mounted onto our patented symmetrical multi-shot frame, which can accurately position the sensor with accuracy, using piezo-electrical actuators. The camera then captures 6 shots, by moving the sensor 1 and ½ pixel at the time, to create a 200Mpix capture.
