Apparently they’ve put this ad in a Lebanese newspaper the day after Trump’s inauguration with the caption “The world has gone nuts.”. I wish we get this kind of creativity in Kuwait, but then again, many would have issues with this.
We were hungry the other day while we were in Ardeya area and decided to pass by restaurants there. It was hilarious the amount of restaurants and cafes named over social media channels, some of them even named on popular TV shows! Just a few minutes of driving and we found 3 notable places.
There was the Snap Cafe, which one of my Snapchat followers told me has a weird tasting Shisha, I don’t smoke so I wouldn’t know. Then there’s the Instagram Cafe, which does not look appealing at all. Well, obviously a restaurant named over a social media channel is the last place I want to eat in anyway.
Then finally, there’s the Hashtag Restaurant. I remember there was Hashtag Burger restaurant in Kuwait City but it shut down, I didn’t like it anyway. If you don’t frequent my blog, I’ve also written about other social media channels [here] and[here].
It’s almost tormenting watching him drink his tea, but the ending of the video cracked me up. I’d love to know which agency was behind the candidate “Bo Salem”, basically during his speech he just sits there and awkwardly sips away his tea, until you start cringing. What’s so ironic is I’m sure people would actually vote for him if he was real.
Apparently there’s a service called Zift that I found on YouTube, it’s something about sharing your Zift Ideas or your Zift List with friends, which constitutes of your shopping list? I didn’t fully grasp the idea because I couldn’t stop laughing, I shared it on snapchat and people are jokingly asking for my Zift list.
I’m not sure if it was meant for pets only or only for super skinny people. It’s so tiny that I think it’s Kuwait’s new touristic spot. It’s like the new obesity detector, if you can fit then you’re not that fat yet, or maybe they should put a sign that says “Only Stand Sideways”.
Someone I follow on snapchat took this photo and I was in surprise. Nevermind that a kid in a hoverboard is strolling the street, he actually took the liberty to wait for the green traffic light. I love how he’s minding his own business with his headset on and browsing his phone as if he was in a car. Times have changed, a lot.
You’re at the supermarket and you see a driver putting big boxes of Vimto in the car. Ironically, Vimto has zero relevance to the holy month, I don’t even know why it’s a Ramadan thing, we just grew up to know so. It’d be interesting watching a documentary how Vimto became a Ramadan thing.
I can’t wait to see someone eating machboos with his hands on 5th ring road one day. Although we have the highest car accident rate per capita in the world, we sure have a lot of ways for staying right up there. I saw this ad in an instagram account and couldn’t believe such a thing existed.
