Imagine raising your daughter only to find out after twelve years she’s not yours, not by father or mother. A hospital mixed the tag names up and switched babies so each family took home the other families child. Twelve years later one of the fathers refused pay maintenance for his daughter complaining she looks nothing like him.

After some DNA testing it turned out she wasn’t the daughter of either parent. “The judge couldn’t believe it. She said she’d only seen cases like this on TV and didn’t know what to advise us.” – BBC. Both daughters were at shock, they decided to stay with their current parents and not turn their lives upside down. Both families are now suing the hospital.
