  1. You are right, they are rubbish! We had 2 Audis in dubai and my Dad brought his to Kuwait. They only kept racking up bills on his 2007 A6 which was in impeccable condition. Eventually it got too expensive to maintain he sold it and bought a new one. But their sales staff are so crap. They were racist and possibly had a hard time believing that another nationality had the “audacity” to walk into their showroom. They need to seriously take notes from their Dubai counterparts who are definitely a million times better!

  2. Well, you have to be SUPER RUDE in such conditions and then you get to see them working on your thing as fast as they can.
    Unfortunately, this is how it works in Kuwait!

Your post doesn’t surprise me what so ever, a friend of mine just recently bought a new audi; déjà vu, battery light popped up he went to take it to them something that should be covered by the warranty… car ended up having a slumber party in audi for nearly a month then they found out it was the dynamo. (Clapping) Bravo Audi… a smell a recall (got charged a ridiculous amount..) makes me think if it even is what they say it is.. lost credibility!!

  4. or instead of “being rude” like some suggested you can always contact CPA (customer protection) and file a complaint, then wait for the branch/local manager to come crying and begging you to accept any compensation that may please you, certainly worked with apple’s customer service.

    My best friend had a VERY bad experience with them too…
    Consumer protection is weak in Kuwait and most consumers are passive, unfortunately.
    Such companies should be boycotted till they clean up their act.

  6. I agree, I was between a A3 and a GTi, ended up with the Gti thanks god. The service in Volkswagen is not perfect either, but at least you get heard when you address them. I had broken windscreen problem with them and I took a Tourage for 17 days, ended up paying only for 7 days. The service manager Ali is a life saver…

  7. I had the same bad customer service… And that is after 3weeks of purchasing a new Q7.
    The wipers were bad . So I took it back to the garage to change them, the technician told that I had to pay for it. After urging about that, they changed it. Next morning going to drop the kids to school, I found a big crack on the shield glass. I took it back, the supervisor start telling me that it might be the mistake of the man who’s washing the car. When he hold the wiper up, he realize that it hadn’t been fix properly, so it can easily break the glass. They agree to change the glass first on our insurance but my husband insist that it’s their fault and should be on their account.

    That’s not all, It was still November and the weather was ok. So when it start getting hot, I felt the AC was not cooling so I took it again. The technician told first it’s the filter and u can wait for the first service to Chang it for Free. We were so upset with them so we spoke to the after sale customer service manage and he order them to Change it now. They did it but the minute we step out of the garage, AC wasn’t still working, again back to the garage stayed there for few hours and then they come up with that there was no gas and they had filled it up. But ofcaurse that wasn’t the end after one month it’s getting more hot and the AC was soo bad, again back to the garage this time they kept the car for few days without any replacement and finally they found out that it was something valve is misplaced and fix it.

    This is my experience with Audi’s Kuwait garage. They have the worse customer service ever. I wish we hadn’t get this car.

  8. The service is the most important thing when you want to buy a car, so I’ll will not advice any one to but Audi .. ma95ara !!!


  9. The amount of feedback you’re getting with this post directly correlates to he bad service quality the agent has been providing. Obviously many other people have had a bad experience. And from the comments I’m reading I’m sure a great majority got ripped off and ended up paying for damage the agency was responsible for. It could be the agent blaming the damage on the customer for the purpose of leeching even more money, or just a mix of stupidity, ignorance, and carelessness. Either way they should be held responsible for it and actions should be taken. I say contact Audi Germany and direct their attention to this post. They should know about the appalling treatment the local agent has been providing and the way they’re ruining the cars reputation. Cause a stir and escalate cause these people should be punished for all the money they are ripping.

    • Audi actually contacted me an hour after the post was published, but I want to post an update after I get my car back and finish the whole experience.

  10. Your story and the resulting comments makes a good case study about customer (not costumer) service in Kuwait. Local companies seem to not understand the consequences of bad customer service. An unhappy customer used to share his story with 7 people on average — they might each tell another 7. The impact has greatly changed with social media and with companies like Service Hero. In time local companies will realize the importance of great customer service… Until then everyone needs to begin blogging!

    Even commenting on a blog sends an important message to a company. At this point Audi must realize (or maybe not) that they’ve lost potential sales — and there’s no instant fix. Now they’ve got to go to work to rebuild, or to improve a tarnished reputation. How long will that take? How will they do it? How much will it cost? All good questions for my students to answer at the end of the case study.

    It would have been so much better had Audi simply embraced great customer service from Day 1. It’s a lesson not just for students!

    If you not happy with service you should go there and tell them in the face! And dont get out until youre satisfied , make them do their job. If they dont post their photos with article , wright to the company, but dont just swallow that shit attitude . I never understood when people just complain without doing anything to get their rights.

      I dont like making a scene in public. Im the type that is patient until a certain extent is reached. It works much better when I write how bad a service of a company is, they respond within hours.

    Very true... last week I went to get a bumber for my car and their stock list shows there are 3 nos. in stock but they dont know where its laying. . :)

    I love Audi Cars but I will never have an Audi in kuwait in future ...the service center is the worst ever cars top roof had Brocken and I paid 250kd for the top top roof window part and wait for 3 week to get that part without window "imagen what happen to my car" the they take 200 kd just fixing feez !!! Then they give me my car so dirty and one of the interier mirror handle is broken !!!

    Thats a sad story bro, Id never consider buying an Audi after reading those lines you wrote. And if I were you, Id go and see a person whos in charge and demand a temporary car. Its their fault from the beginning not having a part for a car they sold!

    So sad. I dont understand, what happened in kuwait nowadays. Theres no assured for getting a good service from company. Cz i have a bad experience with coolpex filter water company. I think that company is the worst company ever. They like to getting money only from they costumer. But very bad on services.
