I’ve heard about mustard a few times before being invited to review the place. They started out as a delivery service and became popular. Soon after that they opened their first store at 52 Degrees. The idea was inspired by 5 Guys burger place in the U.S. I think it’s the very first time I order a salad with my burger.
I started out with a chicken caesar salad while my friend had a rocket salad (a healthier option). Very rarely do I find a burger place that offers salads and I would like to see more of those because in most cases a burger isn’t enough to fill me up while I don’t always want fries on the side. The salad was good for 2, big portion.
For appetizers we had Mini Corn-Dogs, Chili Cheese Fries and Crunchy Shrimp shown above. Some people like restaurant to focus on burgers but I don’t see why having a variety is a bad idea, I like that they had a lot of things to try. Their sauces are heavy but tasty, the crunchy shrimp is recommended.
I tried their Mushroom Swiss, the patty tasted like a regular patty and there was a bit too much mushroom but the burger was okay overall, it’s definitely recommended for the mushroom lovers. The burger doesn’t come with lettuce, so make sure you ask for lettuce to be added if you want it like mine.
My friend tried their Smoke Wood without bacon, which included cheese, onion rings and their unique barbecue sauce. You can actually add additional cheese or bacon on any of their burgers for an additional small fee. They also have a chicken and veggie burger if beef isn’t your thing.
To top it off we had some ice cream scoops, vanilla with caramel and chocolate syrup to be specific. My favourite part about Mustard is the variety they had, you can see the whole menu by clicking [here]. Best of all it’s right next to Choowy Goowy so I passed by and grabbed two chocolate chip jars.
