Radisson Blu wanted me to try out their new Wednesday night concept that launched earlier this month. Every Wednesday they have a buffet with dishes from China, India, South East Asia and the Middle East with live cooking stations. What made it even better was the y offered popular dishes from peacock too.
Radisson Blu as you might know has been under renovation for around two years, this restaurant however wasn’t part of the revamp. It’s located under the boom and is isolated from the hotel even though it’s apart of it. The place is cosy and well decorated. I haven’t reviewed a buffet before so expect a lot of images (gallery below).
I went with an Indian dish, Chicken Curry with white rice and Lebanese appetizers like fatoosh and taboola. The chicken curry was delicious, the other Indian dishes they offer are vegetable based. After that I had a chicken shawerma which was really good too, photo in gallery.
My friend wanted to try everything so he took a spoon or two from everything and filled up his plate. They recommended I try their Indonesian beef dish but I was too full, so I might go for it next time around. They also have a big variety of desserts to pick from, including Kuwaiti sweets.
Overall the food was great, the staff were very polite and we had a good time. Keep in mind open buffet is only on Wednesday and costs KD 12 per person (KD 6 for kids). Both me and my friend were fasting so we pretty much dug deep in the buffet once we were there.
