Majid Al Futtaim (based in Dubai) just bought 26 Geants around the GCC region from BMA International’s Retail Arabia and they plan to rebrand them as Carrefours. So I guess the Geant in 360 Mall will become a Carrefour soon along with two other Geants in Kuwait. Guess it’s going to be Carrefour VS Lulu Hyper from now on.[Source]
A friend shared this photo on Facebook, spotted in UAE. Some stores are giving away necessities free of charge for those who can’t afford to pay for them during the holy month of Ramadan. Places like Sultan Center and Carrefour should be contacted to have something similar, I for one am willing to donate for this cause.
Spinneys, the kinda high-end grocery store is planning to open in Kuwait competing with Sultan Center and Carrefour. I’m going to prefer them over other stores if they adapt their Go Green services like offering reusable bags, smoke-free environment and installing recycle machines.[Source]
For those that need a coffee fix every morning you can now take a different approach. The flakes are coated with Italian coffee but have no where near the caffeine a regular coffee addict would need. It’s estimated the entire box has the equivalent amount of caffeine to half an espresso. Wish Carrefour or Sultan Center get some supply so I can actually try it out.
