During the National Day I went to the shalay but lived at peace for the most part, minded my own business and when walking outside if you give the kids the super serious red eye they don’t spray you. It was a complete mess and I couldn’t imagine what Gulf Street look like. The aftermath is as seen on the photo above.
I tweeted this yesterday, and was informed there was actually a team of volunteers that gathered up the next morning and went ahead to clean all the mess left behind by others. Which is great, but if we keep giving the impression that it’s okay to have fun and leave a mess, expecting someone else to clean after you, we’re not sending the right message.
