This awe-inspiring photo was taken in the middle of The Gulf of Alaska. It is the result of fresh water formed from melted icebergs mixing up with regular ocean water. The reason they’re having trouble mixing is because they have different percentages of salt making them have different densities. I’m guessing this is one of the many side effects of global warming.
The director behind Titanic and Avatar has just become the deepest solo diver in history. He dived 7 miles down the Mariana Trench which is the deepest spot in the ocean.
