A redditor heard flapping on the plane so he turned back and saw this. From the looks of the airplane it looks like they were on Qatar Airways. I had no idea they allowed falcons on board. In defence of the falcon trying to fly I think this picture was taken during landing or lift off giving the falcon a hard time dealing with acceleration.
This startling photo was taken from a plane that happened to be passing by. It is just breathtaking seeing this right in front of your eyes. I’ve searched everywhere for more photos of raining skies shot from a high angle but couldn’t find any. I don’t know why photographers don’t take similar photos but I guess this is a rare sight.[Twitter]
This amazing photo was shot when this fighter jet was hitting the sound barrier, “the point at which an aircraft moves from transonic to supersonic speed”. This takes place when anything moves faster than 1,225 km/h (761 mph), which also makes a sound similar to an explosion. I remember hearing the sound few years ago in Lebanon.
A few fighter jets were passing by and all of a sudden you could hear this huge explosion coming from the sky. I can’t imagine at what f-stop would a photographer set his camera at. This needs all the patients in the world to get the shot spot on. The most widely known sound barrier photo was taken by Ensign John Gay, it won several awards.[Flickr]
Peter Dam is an amateur photographer that was lucky enough to shoot this photo at the exact timing where the bird flew under the plane in parallel. His passion is based on mostly birds and nature. The gallery is impressive but nothing comes nearly as good as this photo. I wish we had a mass variety of birds in Kuwait, I’d be more inclined to take photos.[Gallery]
I read over at Z District blog that there’s a rumor going around of Wataniya Airwarys filing for bankrucpy. This hit me by surprise, I loved their services and if anything were the least airways I’d complain about. This is no doubt very upsetting and I was hoping they’d prospect.
Just a few hours ago, Wataniya Airways tweeted that they will be halting all flights from here on. Jazeera and Kuwait Airways are offering flights back for stranded passengers. Present your ticket and you will be booked on the next plane with available seats.
We would like to inform you that, starting March 16th, Wataniya Airways has ceased all its operations and will now enter a process to determine the future of the company. In the meantime, no flights will operate. Unfortunately, the company is not in a position to offer alternative flights to you. We regret that matters have reached this juncture and deeply apologize for the inconvenience it has caused. We ask you to please contact us regarding your claims on firstname.lastname@example.org or by mail to: Wataniya Airways Claims
