I initially read about Wataniya’s E-Waste Program on their website. The idea is to recycle all your old extinct devices for a better environment. Just drop your devices in the box shown above. Those who contributed will get a chance to win latest smart phones. I’m the type that keeps everything because it’s too painful selling devices for 10% of their original price. Then again, I would rather recycle them.
This post is kind of for the geeky people but everyone can try it out. I always wondered how people made their faces show as 8bit characters on twitter. Well now there’s a generator for that. Of course your eyes, ears and mouth won’t appear since that’s technically impossible on an 8bit within a small scale.[Website]
Note: Eightbit.me closed sign ups, there official release date is 03.09.11.
Are you the type that stays up late staring at your computers screen the whole time? If you are, your eyes get really tired in the process. I always wanted to find a good solution for this but never did until now. Found a program called Flux. What it does is adapt to the time of day so that the screen colour warms at night and brightens in morning.
I do not recommend this application if you constantly design or photoshop on your computer, the colours will not be the same. The application has an option to disable itself for an hour, in case you have colour sensitive work to do. I noticed I get sleeper quicker since the screen isn’t nailing my eye with really bright light at late hours anymore.[Website]
