Before I talk about the wallet I’d like to mention how much I love their packaging, they work really hard on presenting the wallet it, only makes sense they work as hard to make the packaging look really good. I always find good use out of the packaging, instead of just throwing it away. It’s sturdy and long-lasting.
The wallet is meant to be used for when travelling, the main reason being it fits your wallet. I instead use it on a day-to-day basis and it works great in fitting pretty much everything I wanted. The man-purse is trending and I think this wallet fits almost everything a man-purse would.
The built-in pen that comes with the wallet came in handy several times. The wallet also comes with a passport-sized notebook for when you don’t need to actually have your password in your wallet. The passport pocket is huge, so it can be used for many other uses, such as storing receipts.
It’s almost twice the size of my previous wallet. I didn’t face any issues fitting it in any of my pant/jeans pockets. I did face issues inserting it in and getting out of my pocket, nothing too serious, I just have to put more focus to make sure it fits right. Wallet size is 9.7cm x 15cm (when folded)
All-in-all I’m happy with it, fits everything I need and more. I can now carry more than one type of business card with me (since I have a business card for the blog too). I’m sure I’ll even enjoy the wallet more when I’m actually traveling, which is what it was built for. You can purchase the wallet directly [from their website] and internationally ship it to Kuwait.
I got a tour at Gold’s Gym a few days ago and the place is huge. It covers pretty much everything a guy would want from a gym, including an MMA academy which beginners can take part in free of charge. The place is around 4 floors and is almost ready to open. There are a few things that make this gym standout.
Almost every Gold’s Gym in the world has a ‘Cardio Cinema‘. Instead of your regular cardio you go to a dark room and watch one of the latest movies out there. I’m definitely not going to be watching a 2 hour movie but I like the idea being different. It’s a good alternative if there isn’t anything nice to watch on TV.
If you remember a while ago I tried the Vibram 5 Finger shoes and wasn’t a fan, they were uncomfortable. A friend recently bought a pair of Adipure which are a similar concept so I went to try them out. They’re currently only sold in Adidas Al Hamra Mall and cost around KD 34. Luckily they were the right fit and I liked how they looked.
The one I bought had air ventilation which is great if you’re going for a jog or if you’re going to sweat. I wouldn’t recommend it for martial arts because it has a pretty good grip, meaning you will have a hard time swinging the feet that’s on the floor when you kick. Make sure you order one bigger than your size a bit so that your pinky finger has enough space.
I’ve been using the wallet for a while now and I’m pleased with it for the most part. It’s way thinner than my previous wallet, actually this wallet filled with my stuff is almost the same thickness of my previous wallet empty. The KD 20 note doesn’t fit perfectly but everything is fine overall. The leather quality is durable (so far at least).
Of course my favourite part is the coin pocket. I’m glad it’s on the side so it won’t take a lot of space. You get 3 slots for cards that you use frequently and the rest you keep as a bulk together. I also keep my 128 GB SD card as a back up time machine for the MacBook Pro. I highly recommend bellroy wallets for design and efficiency.
Two week ago I mentioned I was going to try a TEMPUR pillow because they were made by NASA. I’ve had the symphony pillow for 2 weeks now and I couldn’t be happier. The moment you lay down your face slightly sinks inside so the pillow in a way forms the shape of your face. They don’t come cheap though, the one I got was for KD 54.
TEMPUR has a different pillow depending on the position you sleep in. There mattresses are super pricy so I don’t think I’ll be buying the whole experience any time soon. I recommend trying a pillow before buying it, they have a closed room so you won’t have any comfortability issues.
Just when I thought I’ve seen it all, another Kuwaiti Monopoly Deal arrives. I think I should make a new category on the blog just for Monopoly Deal reviews. This one comes with some really nice packaging but the cards aren’t plastic wrapped to increase durability like the previous ones I reviewed. I like how the Kuwaiti Towers are part of the design.
The game has 30 new cards in comparison to the original Monopoly Deal but only 4 of those 30 cards did not exist before. The original Monopoly Deal has 106 cards, while the Kuwaiti deal has 136 cards. I put together the new action card list. The deck also comes with 2 blank cards. Guess you can make your own action cards or use them as separators.
قرض الإسكان: Select one player to pay you 7KD (that’s 7 million)
إزالة: Select a player to break any full set of property they own and steal one of the properties of that set
تثمين: Select a player to pay you rent for all complete sets you own
+1: Play four actions instead of three in your turn
The properties have almost every part of Kuwait covered, except this time they have also added popular streets like the one shown above. As for the currency used it’s Kuwaiti Dinar with 2 stripes. I’m guessing the stripes are there to avoid any possible lawsuits.
Overall the packaging is great, design of cards is the same except for the added new cards. Looking forward to trying the new cards, they change how the game is played a lot. The Kuwaiti Deal is sold for 12KD. You can call for delivery using the number below.
After monopoly deal got popular in Kuwait a group of guys made a Kuwaiti version of it. Now there’s a new version this time with a lot of effort in design and layout. I should note Fursan Il Manakh is based on the Hong Kong version of the game which includes more cards such as an action to cancelling a players turn and Double Sly (stealing two cards from a player). continue reading»
