I’ve been using the local app Next Payments for well over two months now. People seem to confuse it for a telecom payment app when it’s actually much bigger than that. It’s a payment solution, you have cash, KNET and then you have Next Payments. The app basically lets you pay with your phone.
They use a token based system. The merchant will have Next Business and you will have Next Pay that’s available on [Android] and [iOS]. The merchant will enter your bill and will get a 4 digit number, that number you input in your app and it will show you the bill. All you need to do after that is click on pay.
The video above demonstrates what I just explained. You add credit to your Next Payments account using KNET. You can only use the app in eligible stores, there were a few when I wrote about the app 6 months ago. They have now more than tripled their [directory] adding Caribou and Smashburger to name some big ones.
